ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

In college I survived off of 2-3 hours of sleep a night and was even able to nap during the day. Ahhh...I used to love to nap. Now if I nap, I can't fall asleep at night. So, even though my body wants to, I don't let it, because I know I will pay for it that night. For this reason, Samuel's first few months were very hard, because I couldn't nap when he did.

My other problem is that I don't fall asleep quickly....(God's joke...blessing me with a man that is out in 2.3 seconds flat.)....and it's even worse if I'm woken up in the middle of the night.

Which brings me to last night....Sam went down at 7 pm and we went down at 9:30 (ish)....he wakes at 12:00 and I put the pacifier back in. Then for 2 hours I "try" to get back to sleep....nothing....I get up and report that I'm awake to all my FACEBOOK followers. At 2:30 a.m. I go back to bed and I think after about 30 minutes or so I finally drifted off. My alarm goes off at 5 a.m.

Last night was actually one of Samuel's good nights. The night before he woke up 4 times. So in the past two days I have only got about 5 hours sleep. Lately, he has not been keeping his end of the bargain...he got us used to him sleeping 12 hours at night....not fair....stomping my foot!

It's just a stage...it's just a stage....I know, but it still doesn't make it any easier.

Maybe my 5th graders will not cause any drama today and we can all watch a movie instead of learning math....yah right!

Richard has Wednesdays off so he's on Samuel duty tonight....I think a 7 pm bedtime is in order for me. Please order me to bed....please!

Again, I know your pain here as well. Our 12 month old i doing the same thing.
He'll wake and cry within 20 of being put to bed and asleep, once he realizes he is alone, I think!

I had to go in at 2:00 and went backt to sleep at 3:30! Fortunately, this is my day off so, hubby packed the 10 yr. old's lunch and got his breakfast and I was able to stay in bed a little longer!

I'm hoping this will soon pass also!

I understand...and I'm sorry! Is he working on some teeth? That seems to be an issue at our house when the sleep goes south...

Know your pain but more of a consistent pain in our house.

Does he not look for the paci on his own? Took Isabel awhile but we leave two in there with her so she can always find one. At first we were leaving 2-3 at each end of the bed for her to get used to finding it on her own.
She's doing great now but still waking too early but has started going back to sleep at the 3:30 waking finally. For about a week it was sleep through the night but up for the day at 3:30. Which was awesome but cruel at the same time. Now it's a quick diaper change and back to bed until 5.

Good luck!!
