SUMMER IN REVIEW

This was the first summer in 22 years that I haven't been able to take home school work to plan or work in my classroom. The principal said we were not allowed back in our rooms until August 4th, we had to turn in our reading series teaching additions for cataloging and the new math series hasn't arrived yet. So except for Social Studies, which I pretty much have planned out for the fist semester, there wasn't any school work for me to take home with me.

Whatever was I to do with me summer?

Sam graduated from preschool and we are now getting ready for Kindergarten in a few weeks.

We spent A LOT of time at the pool. Andrew also got a molar in and a bottom front tooth.

We spent a lot of time at the park.

We planted a garden.

Sam got to be a helper for our contractor....who...

....did a great top installing tile floors and a new shower.

We did a lot of bonding. Sam also spent two separate weeks at camp, which he loved.

My sister, Genie, graduated from college....yes she is "much" older then me.

Grandpa Don and Grandma Arlen visited.

We finally got Andrew's name up on the wall too.

We also took Sam to an amusement park and found out that he likes water slides, but roller coasters and other rides where your stomach drops are not his thing.

We also went to a jump park, started swim lessons, cleaned out the garage and had a garage sale.

Then Sam and I took our big trip to New Hampshire. We both had a great time.

Sam starts KINDERGARTEN tomorrow!
