When it rains it pours.....be careful what you pray for!!

If you remember this post from a few days ago, I am in the process of looking for a babysitter.

Well, I have a lot of people that have found great prospects for me...the nurse, at my school, gave me a name of lady in the neighborhood that babysits, and 2 people at my church left messages on my machine offering to help.

I've got a lot of responses from my add on Craig's List too. Some are too expensive ($75-$100 a day or over $200 a week), quite a few were on the other side of town (adding 40-50 minutes to my commute) and one is in the opposite direction from work. One lady even wrote her response entirely in Spanish...No ablo Espanol!

I've got three responses, so far, that are very promising though...I have one appointment this afternoon at 1 PM and another one tomorrow at 3 PM.

The first one was this morning at 9 AM. I met with "R" at her home. She has a 2 1/2 year old and grandma lives with her too. She really liked the fact that I was adopting. Her home is very nice and clean, is on the way to work (score), on a culd-a-sac (score), she has a play room, a nice yard, has excellent rates (score again), has a lot of experience with babies, gave me references and even let me tear up when I mentioned infertility (I hate it when I do that.).

The only problem is, we need someone that won't charge us when I am on school vacations. I teach at a year round school and along with summer break, 2 weeks off at Christmas and miscellaneous Monday holidays, I have 3 weeks off in March and 3 weeks off in November. I totally understand that this doesn't work for some people. She said she'd think about it, seemed very positive and said, "I'll e-mail you. We'll work something out. I really want to help you."

This would be a great situation for us. Pray that everything works out for the best.

I will be praying for you, Tracey. I know that waiting on the answer is so difficult, but just remind yourself that God already knows the answer of who He has chosen to care for your Samuel.:)

There is a verse I love about that very thing that I will share with you.

Isaiah 65:24
Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.

I'll be lifting you up, sweet friend!
God Bless,
Amy:)

Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. I am so looking forward to reading how your journey continues. The countdown is on aye? NO PRESSURE! I wish we lived close so I could help watch your sweet little one. Yaya would love having a real baby to care for with me! She's all about the babies right now.

What questions for you ask when you interview a potential fulltime babysitter?

Glad you have found so many options. Good luck with the decision.
