Hubby Brake

You may remember that this summer I went on a trip to NH for my 40TH BIRTHDAY BASH, and my husband, Richard, didn't come with me. We decided that with the adoption expenses and having to board the dogs, it would be easier and cheaper, if I went by myself. Plus my plane ticket was free because of the Capital One reward points we had.

Well, now he's gone on a trip to Chicago, Illinois and I'm tending things at home.

Back in June, when he got his new Civic, with a navigation system, we decided that, since getting lost wasn't a fear anymore, we'd start taking more exploring trips around New Mexico.

After Jemez trip we thought it was a great opportunity to plan a trip to his home town of Chicago. The more and more we talked we realized that to make it work, he should take the trip and I would stay her with the animals. So, then he got in touch with his brother, Dan, who still lives there (The rest of his family now lives in California.), and Dan decided to take him to a Chicago Bears game. It's this Sunday's game: Bears against the Titans.

Richard was in Joplin, Missouri overnight and will reach his brother's house this evening. He's going to try to meet up with a couple old friends, have lunch with his grandmother and then spend time with his brother. He'll be back on Tuesday evening.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY HUBBY, but I am enjoying this time to myself too. I think his trip will be good for both of us.

I so understand that. I don't enjoy when my hubby is gone for long periods of time but a couple nights here and there is very nice.

Hope he's having a great time!

I completely understand about enjoying your break. I'm sure he's enjoying his time exploring, too. I'm sure when he comes home, you'll be more than ready for him to be home. I can't think of a time I've sent Hubby away while I stayed home. Oh wait, his hospital stay should count. And I DO remember that!!!
