It's all in God's hands...

Wednesday my husband and I finished all the interviews we had to have with our caseworker, Lisa and we are now in the active pool of adoptive parents. I don't feel anxious or nervous, but totally at peace today. What an amazing feeling! I know I have done all I can possible do to move this process forward and, although it's been in God's hands the entire time, I now feel like I have turned the reins over to Him and I can relax. Little did I know 20 years ago that God didn't plan for my x-husband to have children and that the baby God has always intended for my husband and I to raise wasn't going to be conceived until 2008. I thank God for bringing peace into my heart and calming my soul! The following poem speaks to me in so many ways. I hope you love it too.
______________________________________________________
You are who you are for a reason
You're part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious and perfect, unique design,
Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together within the womb,
You're just what He wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones He chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind,
And they bare the Master's seal.

No, that trauma you faced was not easy,
And God wept that it hurt you so;
But it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into His likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,
You've been formed by the Master's rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because there is a God!

Praise God for that perfect peace...and praying that it continues all the way through!

I, too, am finding this part of my journey very peaceful. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but I have no idea how far away it is, and for the most part, I am ok with that. I WANT to know, but I am ok with not knowing. I hope that if I am still waiting in a year, I have the same peacefulness.

Beautiful poem. It is true in so many ways.I am going to have to save that for me to pull out and read once in a while.

And praise God for the peace that he has placed upon you. I am also finding this part of the journey peaceful and exciting.

I'm just now picking up on your journey. I just love finding new adoption friends! We have about a month until we're on the waiting list, as well! Can't wait to hear more of your story...
