BACHELORETTE 2011....#2

Ashley Hebert is the new Bachelorette this season.

Ashley eliminated 3 guys last night and kept 15. I can cut her 15 all the way down to 4! Here are my top picks....

Ryan P. (31): got the first impression rose and although he didn't get a date this week he is still my top pick. He obviously made an impression on Ashley too!

JP (34): He also did not get a date, because Mickey won a coin toss, but he is my #2 pick. He's funny, sexy and has a great personality.

Ames (31): Got to go on a group date and I think he's a hotty and my #3 pick.

Ben C. (28): I think he is a little weird looking, but he makes Ashley laugh and seems to have a good personality. He also did not get a date this week. He's my #4 pick.

The rest of these guys got roses, but are not my top picks....

William (30): Was a top pick and had a fun date in Vegas and got the first rose. They ate dinner on a platform in the Bellagio fountain. Ashley and he both have alcoholic fathers and really bonded, but later William was too cocky with the other guys and he took their time with Ashley even though he had a rose. Lost a few points with me.

Bentley (28)...who Ashley was warned about by a previous cast member...saying that he was only on the show for his 15 minutes of fame. He actually got a rose on the group date. Ashley is totally blinded by his personality and in the previews for next week it shows him making her cry. HE IS A JERK!

Mickey (31): won the coin toss date and spent the day at Mandalay Bay in Vegas with Ashley. He's cute, but seems to have more of a dud personality.

Jeff (35): Weirdo here says he's using the "stealth approach" and was about to reveal his face, but was interrupted by another guy and just walked away. This guy is just WACKO, but Ashley kept him.

Richard and I play DUD or STUD when she gives out the roses...here are the other guys she chose to keep, but are DUDS in our book:

Ben F. (28): DUD
Nick (26): DUD (cute, but nothing to write home about....)
 Blake (27): DUD
 Constantime (30): DUD
 Lucas (30): DUD
 Chris D. (25): DUD
West (30): DUD

Here are the three she tossed!
Ryan M. (27): I actually liked this guy and I am sorry to see him go.

 Stephen (27): Good toss!
 Matt (28): Good toss!

Next week should be FILLED with drama according to the previews....I look forward to Mondays all week.

And another year comes to a close.....

I was told this past week that this graduating 5th grade class was a holy terror in 1st grade....thanks for the heads up!

With the loss of our beloved P.E. coach, Janice, last July, who was the heart of our school and millions of over-sites and miscommunications (NOT ON OUR PART), pre-teen drama, and children getting to run the show, it has been a very stress filled year. I wouldn't have made it through without these ladies by my side to vent to and depend on.

Three of the six of these lovely ladies are moving on. I am on the left. Teela is next...she is moving to Arizona. Bev is in the middle...she is retiring...LUCKY DUCK! Then there is Rosa, who is moving to another school. Finally, there is Michelle and Sara. We will be the only three left of the group. Michelle and I have been at Mary Ann Binford Elementary for a number of years and Sara was a student of mine and Bev's. This is her first year teaching and she just had a baby too.

We ate lunch together EVERY day and got along amazingly. We laughed and cried together, covered each others' classes, gave each other ideas, planned together and supported each other, much to the disappointment of some, who wanted to see us fail. Although we will not be allowed to continue 5TH GRADE ACADEMY next year, WE all felt that it was a great success and 80% of the kids and parents thought so too.

We had these t-shirts made to show our solidarity! Those who wanted us to fail felt that we were full of ourselves and called us the 5TH GRADE MAFIA. So that is how we came up with the t-shirt design.

On the back it just says, "BUMMER!" (I Zentangled it!) We used this phrase so much this year that the kids started using it too. "I didn't do my homework," and our response, "BUMMER!" "I forgot my permission slip at home," and our response, "BUMMER!" "I was at the bingo hall with my mom all weekend. I didn't get to finish my project," and our response, "BUMMER!" You get the idea. This group was so full of excuses, as to why they didn't do their work, that it became our daily mantra.

Today is our last day of school and then we are off for about 6 weeks. I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SUMMER! Please read between the lines...this is all I can say!

FPU...Weeks 2-5

Recently I wrote how I am taking a 13 week class called FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY (FPU) with this guy, Dave Ramsey.

I got behind on these posts and wanted to update you all on how we are doing.

We are now working on BABY STEP #2 Pay off debt except the house utilizing the debt snowball...except for one car and our fancy grass, this is DONE too. The grass loan is one year, same as cash, no interest and the car has about 2 years left on it. Richard has started to bring in more money recently, so if our plan continues we should have both of these paid off in the next year. WOW! Wouldn't that be nice?!

Some of the AH-HAH moments for me over these past 4 classes:

* LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE NOW, SO IN THE FUTURE YOU CAN LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE!

* I am the NERD and Richard is the FREE SPIRIT. I am naturally better at saving, planning and creating the budget. So, I will keep my job.

* In another couple years we will start paying Sam a commission, not an allowance. As Dave says, "...we have enough people in our society who expect to be made allowance for. If you work you get paid; if you do not work you do not get paid."

* We have agreed to certain amounts for groceries, Richard's lunches, and BLOW MONEY (Ha ha....we laughed at Dave's use of this term....for obvious reasons and the weird looks we got in WalMart...we have changed this term to FUN MONEY.)and any extra will go toward the car and then the grass (...thus paying them off in a year...).

* Never loan money! Give money and never expect it back!

* Never cosign!

* The FICO score is an "I love debt" score and is not a measure of winning financially.

I highly recommend this class and Dave Ramsey's website.

BACHELORETTE 2011

Ashley Hebert is the new Bachelorette this season. It was a crazy opening night show.

Tim was so wasted that the other guys had to help him to a car and send him home, even before the rose ceremony....he's a liquor distributor...GO FIGURE!

Ashley eliminated 7 guys and kept 18. I can cut her 18 in half to 9! Here are my top picks....

Ryan P. (31): got the first impression rose....my favorite overall.

Ben F. (28): makes wine.

 Nick (26): cute blonde.

Ryan M. (27): made a good first impression.

Blake (27): He and Ashley are both dentists.

Ben C. (28): Spoke French and made Ashley laugh.

 William (30): Cute

JP (34): Made her laugh and they had a good conversation going.

Ames (31): Gave her ballet tickets and said he wanted to take her dancing.

Of the other 9 she kept there are only two worth mentioning and that is only because they caused controversy.

Jeff (35): only because he is still wearing that stupid mask and calling himself, "poised." Very weird! He wants Ashley to see his inner beauty.

Then there is this guy.....

...Bentley (28)...who Ashley was warned about by a previous cast member...saying that he was only on the show for his 15 minutes of fame. In the previews for future shows he tells the camera that he isn't attracted to Ashley and could care less about staying. Oh...he has a daughter named, Cozy!

Here are the other guys she chose to keep:

 Constantime (30)
 Lucas (30)
 Stephen (27)
 Matt (28)
 Chris D. (25)
 Mickey (31)
West (30)

We'll see if these guys impress me enough next week, that I want to talk about them.

DON'T LOOK IF YOU'RE SQUEAMISH...CANCER SUCKS!

This is my Dad's back after 6 weeks of radiation treatment! It's normal to look like this! COMMENT IF YOU THINK CANCER SUCKS!
