CALIFORNIA 2013...part #1

We had an amazing time on our vacation.

On Monday, June 3, we drove from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Dana Point, California. To drive 640 miles it took us almost 13 hours. We stopped for breakfast and lunch and a couple of gas/potty breaks. We left at 3:30 a.m. We were exhausted by the time we got there.

Our hotel wasn't the greatest, but we had 2 queen beds, free breakfast and WIFI and it was cheap. We didn't plan on spending a lot of time there, as it would just be a way-lay for our stuff, so we didn't want to spend too much.

We went to Denny's for dinner and then we went to bed. We were exhausted and all our butts were sore from so much sitting in the car.

On Tuesday, fter breakfast at the "ho-in-tell," as Sam liked to call it, we went over to Pa-Pa Don and Grandma Arlen's house. You can also see their two dogs, Lila and Gabby.

I love this picture of Richard and his Dad!

Here is the view from their backyard.

I love these beautiful flowers that are growing in the yard.

They took us over to a children's play area, which Sam loved.

They had these really cool swings that Sam thought were great!

Then in the afternoon we went to the beach. This is Sam's first time seeing the ocean.

That evening we met Pa-Pa Don and Grandma Arlen for dinner.....

and then we retired back to the hotel.

The water really wore out Sam and he slept great!
