4TH OF JULY PARADE!

The parade didn't start until 10:30 and we got to Corrales around 9:30 and the streets were already lined on both sides with tons of people. We'll have to get there earlier next year.

Sam was very excited for it all to begin. The umbrellas, ice on the back of our necks and a little cloud cover helped some with the heat.
 I love all the flags.
 The music was great too!
Vote for the PET MAYOR!
This is a bike club for handicapped kids...cool!
The bag pipe players were amazing!
Sam loved this clown!
This was very creative. Stuffed animals in pet carriers. A rolling zoo.
Sam loved the horses too.
A parade would not be complete without the horse poop scooping crew!
This dog was having a great time.
The fire trucks were too loud for Sam.
Sam said this boy was silly. The motorcycle was too small for him.
The Tin Lizzy part of the parade is great too.
Very festive.
Sam was thrilled about all the candy being tossed to him.

We hid behind umbrellas when the water canon kids came by.
More clowns with candy.
This dog followed obediently behind his owner who was riding on a horse. Sam said, "Mama, look that spotted doggy is pretending to be a horse."

Sam is now napping....ahhhh...what a great day so far.

Cool. I love a nice parade. One day I'd love to go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade rather than watching it on TV.

It appears as if Sam did enjoy it. He's wondering why people throw candy! lol

Happy pretty much belated 4th of July to you and yours.
