Grandpa loves Samuel, but Samuel has always taken awhile to warm up to Grandpa.
We've never quite figured it out....Samuel has seen Grandpa, since the day he was born, on average 2 -3 times per week, but each time Grandpa walks in the door, Samuel will cry when he first sees him.
We're not sure if it's because Grandpa is so tall compared to someone on the ground....or if it's because of his beard....or maybe because Grandpa is a man. Sam does likes women much more then men.
Anyway....once Grandpa is around awhile and sits down...Sam will inevitable make it over to Grandpa and want to play. Sam will hand toys to Grandpa....again...
"Thank you," and again....
"Thank you,".....
....and Grandpa will hand them back...again and again. We don't want poor Grandpa to develop a complex, but as you can see Samuel doesn't hold a grudge for long. Grandpas need love too!

He looks a little like my father-in-law. It reminds of pictures from when my children were younger.
