I WON'T WATCH THE GRAMMY AWARDS

I won't watch the Grammy Awards tonight....for one reason....they are doing a tribute to Michael Jackson.

Yah..Yah...Yah...he gave a lot to music...I know all that....I listened to him and loved his music as much as the next person...but I believe that he was a pedophile...now that music is tainted.

I know this, like I know O.J. Simpson killed his wife and Ron Goldman.

I LOVE the Black Eyed Peas and many others that will be on tonight, but......

I won't be watching the Grammy Awards tonight.

I'm not really sure what I think about old Jacko... I do love his music, but I'm conflicted about his life. I just think America has gone way too far in their memorialization (is that even a word?) of him. He was an entertainer, not a priest, prophet, or king.

By the way, LOVE the other bloggers you sent me to; always love meeting new people! And I really love your son's name. It's a family name of mine, and if we ever have a son, will probably be his middle name!

I stumbled upon your blog and have to say that 1) I will not be watching the Grammy's for the exact same reason!! My friends think I'm silly :)
2) I HAD NO IDEA THAT THERE IS AN ANTI-ADOPTION MOVEMENT! I was so completely surprised that I think I'm going to blog about this very topic in the next few days. Ad an adoptive mother to a toddler and mom of a biological child, I was fascinated and somewhat uneasy all at the same time. The adoption of our daughter has been a gift filled with laughter and plenty of tears for all of us. I understand the concerns but to attack an institution that allows children to be a part of a family and the opportunity for couples to parent is disconcerting.

OK-THANK you for posting this. I WILL be watching tonight because I think music is one of the most amazing things we have in life. BUT-I am thankful that you wrote this. I have been shaking my heaad at the world since MJ died. Um, HELLLLLLOOOOOOO? Yes, why dont we just go and worship OJ like you said. Makes me livid.
