REALLY GOOD DAY!

This is the result of my morning while Samuel napped. Richard got the lights up outside too. I usually decorate a lot more, but I just don't have the time. As Samuel gets older we'll do more.

Then in the afternoon we met "K" and her parents at a local coffee shop. We had a great visit! Samuel laughed, babbled and gave silly smiles, like this one. "K" is actually holding him in this picture, but we are respecting her wishes to remain anonymous. Today is also "K's" nineteenth birthday, so it made our visit extra special. Even though we haven't seen her parents for almost a year, we feel very close to them too. They are great people! "K's" mom was very emotional and it was very hard to say good-bye. I think we'll make this an annual visit. We had a really good dayl

Oh my gosh, when did Samuel get so darn cute? He's like such a little boy in that picture. I love it!

I'm so glad that it went well with K! That's great! Maybe her short break is what she needed right now and she's ready to continue contact. I hope so...for everyone's sake.

Little Samuel...that smile just makes me want to eat him up!!!

Happy you had your visit with K. Visits were very difficult for our daughter's birthmom too. She goes back in forth (emotionality happy that she cannot stop smiling to going back to the past in her head and saying how miserable our daughter would have been if she had raised her and tearing up), but she loves the visits, and needs the visits. The first time she saw our daughter at 6 months, she was 19 also. Our daughter's birthmom would not hold her until she was about 1 1/2 years old.

And your son is adorable!!

I am overjoyed that you let Samuel's bmom and her parents see him! I feel that it is so important to remember that there are 'real' people/family behind where are children came from and they love them and miss them!
So glad that went so well!

Are you worried about him being mobile this year and getting into the tree? We are thinking of not putting up our big tree, afraid Baby will pull it down as he is everything else these days!
