SPOTLIGHT ON....#1

One of the things I find myself doing a lot is looking on sidebars and clicking on blogs other people like to visit. I'm usually attracted to the names first, then the theme and design of the blog. If it looks interesting, I'll bookmark it to investigate later. I usually go back a few times before it either gets deleted (those that I don't find interesting or don't post often) or added to my sidebar and to GOOGLE READER. I thought I'd start a new series where I tell you about a few of the new and interesting places I've found.

Julie and Mike are a young couple in the process of adoption. Julie loves to travel, hates cats, loves pancakes, but hates shopping. She posts a lot of pictures of her activities with Mike. She has a special sister, Genie (So do I.), who has Down Syndrome, which was the catalyst for her to want to work with special needs children. She's a real sweet heart. You should stop over and say "hi."

DEPLOYED TEACHER is just that....a special education teacher, deployed with the National Guard in Afghanistan. He gives insight into his experience working with the people over there and his pictures, insights and experiences are very enlightening. Stop by and wish him a safe return home!

Future Mama is a young married woman trying to convince her hubby it's time to have kids. She's getting her life together, asking a lot of questions and has a lot of interesting posts. Recently she posted this about how she doesn't think being a SAHM is really that difficult and wanted commenters to enlighten her....and boy did they...with 32 comments....which then got her to move on to part 2 and part 3. I like when people bring up topics and make people talk....as long as the commenters aren't mean. Her blog makes you really think. Go on over and offer your two cents. She's very open and down to earth.
