A loving family is wonderful....

Hi all....remember me....remember I used to post every day....then came Samuel....

The first night was very hard and I only got 2 hours sleep...very unsure and scared and overwhelmed....my A-personality had a panic attack.....

People ask me how I am feeling...and I say.....Every emotion that humans have and twice as intensely. This last week has been a roller coaster and my body finally gave out. I lost my voice too. My sister came over to spend the night, last night so I could get some sleep and we had a great talk and I got a lot of my feelings out and it was wonderful. She is a wonderful mother and I don't know what I'd do without her.

Then my mother came over today and we talked and she got to feed her grandson. It's like getting golf lessons from Tiger Woods.

I got to shower and brush my teeth...WOW did that feel good!! Richard and I are slowly working out all the "logistics" and it will just take time.

The adoption agency called today to check in on us and they will do their first visit on Monday.

We went to the pediatrician yesterday and Sam lost 3 ounces, but that's normal. Next Wednesday he'll be circumcised. Not looking forward to that, but at least he won't remember it.

Aren't my "three" men gorgeous! The cats are unimpressed, but Menlo is very protective.

Finally, I wanted to apologise for not checking in on all your blogs...my reader is busting. I also want to say thank you so much for all the comments, prayers and well wishes. Please, keep them coming and I will post as often as I can.

GOD IS SO, SO GOOD!

Tracey,
I love the pictures, you make a lovely family!
It will get easier! Those first days are tough. Everything is so new and scary and wonderful! I was actually more overwhelmed when Kaden came home than Justin. Kaden was such a needy little guy and only attached to me at first. Now I look back and miss those first days. Enjoy them, relax if you can, it's all good and it will get better.
Hugs,
Michele

That picture of your "boys" is adorable. The look on Richard's face is priceless! And Menlo...what a sweetheart!

Congratulations! And thank goodness you have the help you do. It is so very challenging in those first few days with the first baby! Hang in there, you are strong, you have natural instincts, be good to yourself!

Hugs and much love to all of you!
