DUE DATE...but not here...YET...

Today is Samuel's due date! SO WHERE IS HE EVERYONE!! Yesterday we met with our caseworker and signed a bunch of paperwork for placement. I now have a check list of must do's...from taking out guardianship papers to the benefits office and making an appointment for Sam's first shots to calling the lawyer and meeting the caseworker again after Sam's been home for 48 hours. My head is spinning with all the little details to take care of.

We also got "K's" medical information. We know "K" has some issues with ADD, allergies to eggs and corn, eczema, hay fever, she's nearsighted and had to have braces. It's great to have all this information. OPEN ADOPTION IS THE WAY TO GO, PEOPLE!

We had an amazing talk too...kind of reliving our entire experience. I cried as I thanked Lisa, Colleen, Sharron and Penny for ALL they have done for us. We couldn't have asked for a better agency and better people to walk us through all this. They have become a second family to us.

I now drive around with a car seat, diaper bag (fully packed), blankets, backpack (for our wait at the hospital...book, snacks, etc.) and camera at all times, just in case.

I've been doing so well with my emotions over the last few months waiting and waiting, but now I cry so easily. THEY ARE HAPPY, ANXIOUS TEARS, OF COURSE, but they have caught me off guard. THIS IS FINALLY COMING TRUE!!! I AM AMAZED! GOD IS SO SO GOOD!

Yes it's amazing how many little things need to be done for the little blessing.
Praying for you both to stay calm as you wait.
Also praying for an easy delivery for K and that she has peace when it's her turn to sign the papers.

Yesterday was our little Colt's due date. Scheduled induction that is no longer scheduled! Gggrrr...I'm getting so impatient!

I know EXACTLY how you're feeling! I can't wait to see pics of Samuel, and I can't wait to see my own little man as well!

Prayers...
