I just hope, she is who she says she is!

I am one of the least political people you will ever meet, but I did listen to Sarah Palin speak last night. In my opinion...

1. ...she is a great speaker and can even go off the cuff and be funny, when it fits the moment..."what's the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick."

2. ...it's about time they got some new blood in Washington. I'm tired of the "old boy's club." This is a way to really have change.

3. ...she and her husband chose some very odd names for their children: Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and Trig.

4. ...maybe a woman and a mother will bring a softer side to the presidency and we'll have more time out's, less name calling, learn to share and not tell lies.

5. ...telling everyone that has a special needs child that, "I pledge to you that if we are elected, you will have a friend and advocate in the White House," you just got all those mothers on your side.

6. ...if there marriage is as strong and tight as she says it is...that will only benefit us more.

7. ...if she does become the new vis president we're going to be spending a lot of money on all the Secret Service men it will take to protect her entire extended family.

8. ...being from a small town makes her more believable. Being from one myself...you have no secrets...everyone knows everything, about everybody.

9. ...putting the jet on EBay was genius!!

10. ...she may like to drive herself to work...but that will have to end when she's the vis president...the paparazzi would rear end her.

11. ...having a personal chef when you're the vis president is one of the perks...accept it...it's ok!

12. ...a surplus in the budget would mean the "Second Coming" had happened.

13. ...her little daughter Piper will make a good "mama" some day. Was that not the cutest thing, when she licked her fingers and ran it over the little ones head?! Oh...my...God...what an "oohhh" moment.

14. ...she has a gorgeous husband.

15. ...she has a gorgeous son.

16. ...the upcoming "marriage" of her 17 year old has about as much chance of succeeding as I do in getting pregnant. It's an inside joke folks...read more of my blog and you'll understand.

17. ...I am actually excited about this election, now.

18. ...I think the "party" is looking much farther ahead. McCain is too old to run for a second term and she is young enough and strong enough to run for the presidency and win.

19. ...I hope her children don't suffer with her not being around as much as she was.

20. ...I'm voting for PALIN AND MCCAIN...yes...that's what I said...she's helped my make me decision.

.....I just hope, she is who she says she is!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

I'm with you...she was AMAZING last night! I was for McCain by default (don't like what Obama stands for, or rather DOESN'T stand for). She's made me MUCH more excited about this election! --Your SBP

Yep, I know about the impending marriage. Not so much....he looked like he'd rather be at the pep rally for this weekend's football game than supporting his future omom in history making.

You wouldn't believe what I heard on the radio today about that "aaaaahhhhh" moment. I rarely call upon God to strike people down, but that guy.....

Anyway, I was going to vote for McCain as was my conservative duty, but I am voting for Palin because I want to. I will give it to McCain for the GENIUS strategy of it all, does anyone even remember Obama is anymore?

I loved this moment too! She was so adorable doing that!:) Sigh.

Sarah was a great speaker; like you, I am not politically minded, but she definitely impressed me and my family.

God Bless,
Amy:)

I thought I was like the only conservative blogger out there. I NEVER talk politics because people get WAY too emotional about it and take it as a personal attack when you don't share the same political views. I'm a republican through and through and will be voting for McCain also.

I can't find my blog said...

Same here, Sister!

McCain/Palin 08!!! Got my vote too! Palin gave an amazing speech, she stands for what I believe in. I was already a McCain supporter but his choice for vice president really got me energized. I hardly ever talk politics too, been yelled at one too many times for being a Republican and my conservative views.

And Piper was so dang cute!! She is precious!

Actually, I wanted Hillary, but she didn't get on the democratic ticket it's O'Bama for me.

Selecting Palin was very creative on McCains part, but I'm not impressed. She very inexperienced and McCain is very old. If McCain kicks the bucket I don't know that she would be able to handle being president. Yes, she has a downs syndrome child, but she is 44 and knew she was at risk. All I can do is wonder why she didn't use birth control. The fact that her 17 year old daughter is going to marry the guy, has no education to speak of, will not be able to financially support the baby, makes me wonder who will care for the child. The grandparents? How would she assist if she's VP? Plus, if she's such a family woman being VP will DEFINITELY take up a heck of a lot of time and she has a 4 month old special needs baby. I'm having trouble seeing how her actions illustrate what a great mother she is. I don't know. She'll hire a nanny? The siblings will do it? They're pretty young for that sort of thing.

On the bright side she would certainly do great things for the special needs community. She's anti-abortion which is fine. I notice she's not pushing adoption either. All I can say is 17, in HS, marrying a guy whose my space page says he doesn't want to be a father, no way to support baby, yada, yada, yada...

Yes, the husband and kids are good looking, but that hasn't won me over. Neither has what she's tried to accomplish in Alaska.

The kids names are kind of weird too. Bristol? Treg? What the heck?

I'm not much of a polical person either, but I do like Biden.
