Grandma is so talented!

I went to Mom's house today and she helped me make a sling for the baby. Actually it turned into 4 slings, because I had bought so much cloth.

First we cut the cloth 44 inches long and 23 inches (distance from my shoulder to opposite hip) wide. I used plain, jersey material.

It's stretchy and warm, but doesn't come in a lot of fancy colors. It was also really inexpensive.

Next, my lovely, mother pinned the edges. Isn't she beautiful! You wouldn't guess she was 85 years old!? We also made a couple two layers thick.

Finally, she sewed the edges together!

See, a beautiful sling for Sam! To try it out, I used a large water bottle as a baby.

Thanks for the help, Mom. I love you!
