Richard's Epiphany (a.k.a. "How my husband became a Christian")
My husband and I met and started dating in August of 2000. I knew he had been raised Jewish, although he was not practicing at the time. After 4 days I knew God had brought him into my life and I loved him. As we dated, I continued to go to a Christian church and bible study. We talked about his beliefs and my beliefs, but I didn't force the issue. I trusted that God would open his heart and mind. About 6 months into our relationship he asked to come to the bible study with me. I was very excited that he was willing to listen and learn. God was whispering in his ear.
Over the next 2 years he continued to come to bible study and then church with me. At the end of December 2002 we had been studying about the trinity. This was very confusing for him. He had been reading a lot about it and asking a lot of questions. Finally, on January 3rd, my husband had an amazing day at work and sold 3 cars (he had never done this before), and in a rain storm no less. While driving home from work he realized he needed to thank God for his great day. Right when he thought this, he saw a delivery van pass him and on the mud flaps it said G. O. D. Inc. (By the way this is a real delivery company. G. O. D. stands for, Guaranteed Overnight Delivery.) So he started talking to God. He said, "OK, you've got my attention. I'm listening. What do you want me to know." At that moment, a car drove by and the bumper sticker on the back read, "JESUS IS LORD." My husband knew this message was for him, from God. He finished his commute home and when he walked in the door he said, "Honey, you'll never believe this, but...." And at the end of him telling this story I asked, "So, what does this mean?" He responded, "I accept it. Jesus is my Lord and Savior." I cried!
I had prayed that God would open my husband's heart and mind, but never expected this. The irony that it was in fact January 3, 2003 (trinity), was not lost on either of us.

I LOVE this story! What a wonderful, inspiring testimony!
That is a wonderful testimony! I hope he shares it everywhere he goes!!! Thanks for sharing it here!
That is the most awesome story! Thank you for sharing. It is an encouragement to me. I have been married to an unbeliever for 16 1/2 years. He is a wonderful man who is lost. Oh that God would make himself real to my husband, who also happens to be Richard, as he did for your Richard.
Thank you again for sharing.
Blessings,
Dawn
