On the first day of school, I gave each student 3 sticky notes and asked them 3 questions:
* What are we here to do?
* What do we want to accomplish?
* How will we make it happen?
Then we combined all the comments that were similar and condensed the information to make our class mission statement. We repeat this every morning after the pledge.
