Ask

Everyone needs goals in their life. First, be specific about what your goal is. Second, how will you make this goal happen? Next, by what time will you have accomplished it? Choose the things that you can control. For instance, you cannot control someone else falling in love with you. Also, what are the steps you will take to achieve this goal? Very importantly, ask others to be involved, to hold you accountable. Finally, how will you measure the accomplishment of this goal? As Helen Keller once said, " Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable."

You have to name it to claim it. Be clear and specific about what you want. We want, we need, we desire, we yearn, but we don't ask. Longings cross our mind, but we don't really commit ourselves. We don't lay it on the line. We don't ask because we're afraid somebody will say, "no." But when wishful thinking doesn't magically manifest what we want, we feel we've been denied. So in the future, we choose not to ask, but to continue to wish, existing in a constant state of deprivation. Ask for what you need and want.

Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. Matthew 7:7

God has given me this verse (Matt. 7:7) 3 times this week. I think He is trying to tell me something.

God Bless,
Amy:)

Lovely! And yes, asking is the first step.
