Santa has sent his elf to watch Sam. He stays with us during the day and then at night he will fly back to the North Pole and tell Santa if Sam was naughty or nice. In the morning he'll be back at our house, but hiding somewhere else and we have to find him.
After I read the ELF ON A SHELF book to Sam, we discussed what we would name him. Sam couldn't decide on a name, but Daddy suggested we use one of the names in the book. I reread the names to Sam and he chose, "Markle Doodle."
I can't wait to see where he hides tomorrow!

Our Elf is Elijah, and the first year he was very good, but last year OH MY he was a VERY mischievous elf, and this year he has done some mischievous stuff too!! Just last night he got into the pizza box (left over pizza from dinner) and pigged out on pizza, candy, and was drinking the syrup! I also noticed he had the tums- must have had heartburn;) Hope you all enjoy your Elf's visits!
