DECORATING...Yes, for Christmas!

November is a very busy month for us and Richard only has off a limited amount of days. So, after planning out the next month on a calendar we decided that today was the day for the outside Christmas lights. I'll do the inside the day after Thanksgiving. We are normally not THIS early, but it's just how it had to work out.

We have a bin set aside of just the outside stuff. I bought a couple new sets of lights and a welcome mat this year.

9:00 A.M. Here is everything waiting to go up.

Richard starts to plan.....

We have one outside plug, so Richard has to tape down the cord across the walkway.

At least the sun is out!

How do lights manage to get tangled when they are just lying in a bin all year?

He hooks the lights to the gutters.

Sam and Menlo are keeping a close eye on Dad.

Time to get out the taller ladder!

Collateral damage!

This is one of the days he is happy we don't have a two-story.

The sun has warmed everything up. I even have 7 buds on my yellow rose bush.

2:00 P.M. The wreaths and bows go up.

Netted lights for the bush.

The Charlie Brown tree starts to come together.

4:00 P.M. Here is the finished product in the front....

....and the finished Charlie Brown tree....now if only we can get some snow! GREAT JOB RICHARD! I LOVE YOU SWEETIE!

Now he's going over to help the neighbor boys do their lights...what a good guy I've got....finally finishes around 5:00 P.M.
