Being a new mother I seem to get a lot of advice, which can be helpful, but is also very frustrating when it's from people who are insistent that their way is the BEST way. I also get advice (because I'm an adoptive mother) from those who think that my son is just a stand-in until I get "the real thing."
Each week I will post a new question. I'd love it if you'd play along and offer us new mothers your pearls of wisdom.
HERE IS THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
IS CHEATING A MOUNTAIN OR A MOLEHILL? WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOUR CHILD WAS CAUGHT CHEATING?

my vote is... that cheating is a mountain because it is a sign of a deeper character issue. It's important to me that my children learn to be their own best them! I would want to understand WHY they would cheat... and I would make sure I checked MYSELF to make sure I wasn't pressuring them academically beyond what should be expected. But they would be in BIG trouble!
Cheating is a mountain. Strength of character is the best thing we can instill in our children as parents. There would be severe consequenses in our household depending on age.
