THE SKY FELL!

You may remember the post I wrote about the sky falling. Well it fell again, only not in my room.

This is my room now. The panels have been replaced and there is no longer a leak over my room. You may notice, they never cleaned the stain on the wall and their solution for the moist spots was to spray paint them white. At least my room is no longer leaking...however....

...it rained Thursday night and this was in the hallway Friday morning. There are 3 of us that arrive at school at 6:30 a.m. and this is what we found yesterday morning. We called the principal and then put up orange cones and started checking other rooms. By 7:30 a.m., the cafeteria and 6 other rooms had reported in saying they could hear water dripping, their ceiling was leaking, or they already had enough water that had come in, that it had damaged books, personal belongings, supplies and desks. 

All throughout the day new classes continued to call the office saying their room was now leaking or ceiling tiles had fallen. Some classes had to move to the hall or to another room. Ugghh! What a nightmare!

And to top it all off the kids couldn't have recess and rain makes desert kids nutty! We teachers got no breaks, so by the end of the day we all felt like exhausted wet mops.

THANK GOD IT WAS FRIDAY AND PAY DAY!!!
