Requesting an absence....
Please excuse me from my blogging....new baby on board....Sam slept from 11 pm to 1:30 am and then from 1:50 am to 4 am and then 4:30 am to 7 am...I only slept 2 hours last night...WE'RE TOTALLY IN LOVE, THOUGH!! GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
Sounds like he slept really good. Sorry you didn't. But it's understandable. I'm sure you sat there watching him sleep. Be sure to let us know how K's hearing goes today. Enjoy mommyhood
Take your time! We all know, very well!, that it will take a few weeks to get in a groove. Sleep when you can-DON'T WORRY ABOUT HOUSEHOLD CHORES! Only do the essentials. Snuggle little Sam. Let his baby smell imprint on your brain, on your soul. Gaze at him. Watch his first intentional smile-it will be the first of many joyful firsts that you will treasure. (It willcome sooner than you expect!)
Oh. And take your close friends and neighbors up on bringing dinner, and other help that they offer. It takes a lot of stress off!

Welcome to life with a newborn! The sleep thing gets better after a few weeks! I know you're going to enjoy every sleep-deprived minute though!

Well deserved break (and the reason is perfect!!!)...Sounds like he slept pretty well for first night home! YEAH!
But you will get used to surviving on less sleep. And you will sleep more when he's sleeping...once you realize your "mom hearing" has been turned on.
Take your time! I can't wait to see more pictures as you get to know your little boy@!!
