We have FOUR, four legged babies that are going to have a new "brother" soon. I've put out Sam's pac-n-play and his bouncy seat so they can get used to the smells.
I think the cats will be rather indifferent until they hear him cry. We realized we can't have Sam sleeping in our room or leave the door open to his room because the cats would sleep with him. They love lying on TOP of new, warm things.
Menlo, our dog, will probably experience a lot of jealousy, however. He's been getting a lot of attention, especially since Keene passed and it's going to be a rude awakening not to have our undivided attention, whenever he wants it.
Today, I start back to work....After this Richard and I will both be taking sick days to care for Samuel. I teach for 3 weeks and then I am officially done, until February 17th!

We only have cats and I had the same worry about them sleeping with the boys when they were babies. Neither ever did. Jupiter does sleep now on occasion with Kaden. :)
I just attempted to send a message and got an error. Of course my message was erased. Grrrr! Anyway, I'm thrilled for y'all and recall these last days myself. Excitement, anticipation, fear....Fill your days with shopping for Christmas, friends, dinner out and just time together. It will help pass the time AND it may be awhile before you want to leave the house or put down that little baby!
