FLASHBACK FRIDAY #4...Become the Master of Yourself

This is republished from February 2, 2008.

Become the Master of Yourself

Do you feel that happiness can only be found after arriving at your heart's destination? Actually you've always been in control of your own creative destiny, though not always its course. The spirit of your journey is even more important than the arrival at our destination. Genuine happiness only comes when you are willing to court contentment every step of the way. Day in, day out, the journey is real life. If people were convinced that their wants were a reasonable ambition they would find a way of attaining them. As it is, they feel so unjustified in their needs that they rarely make the attempt.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us. There is no reality, only your own perception of things.

Welcome every morning as another special gift from God, another golden opportunity to be successful. Today will never happen again. Don't waste it. Now is the most precious time. Seize it, live it, because it shall never come again.

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards. They try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so that they will be happier. They way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.

James Allen say, " You are buffeted by circumstances so long as you believe yourself to be the creation of outside conditions, but when you realize that you are a creative power and that you command the soil and seeds of your circumstances, then you become the master of yourself."
