Keene came home today after spending the weekend at the vets. She pulled out her stitches and the vet said there is not enough skin to sew back together so the half dollar size hole has to stay open until the skin repairs itself. Yes, this will take quite awhile. She's on antibiotics and I have to put an ointment on the wound twice a day. The vet says she has to stay in her kennel and only go out to pee. If she licks herself at all we have to put the cone on her head. She can't do any running or jumping and only short walks. It's a good thing I still have three weeks off before school starts. We have to take her back in a week to get the other stitches, on the other side, out. It's good to have my "baby" home. Thanks for all the prayers and warm wishes.

Oh, I am so happy for you that she's home! Now hopefully you can relax a little and enjoy your last 3 weeks of time off. I can't believe schools starts so soon.
Bless your heart and hers.
It is so hard to watch them hurting.
I will keep saying prayers for you and your baby.:)
Ahhh...
good luck little Keene.
We hope you feel better soon.
