Police Academy Graduation

This is my niece, Heather, and her fiance, Dominic, a new member of the Albuquerque Police Department. This was taken right after the graduation from the police academy. He is very imposing in his full uniform. The belt they wear weighs over 20 pounds. He also wears a black t-shirt, then a bullet proof vest, another t-shirt over that and then the uniform shirt. It wouldn't be bad in the winter, but summers out here are brutal. She's picked a great guy. Dominic graduated from college in December and for the last six months has been at the police academy. His dad is also a police officer and actually pinned his badge on him at the graduation.
