"Life is Managed, not Cured"

As I have heard Dr. Phil say many times, "Life is managed, not cured." Think about your patterns, reactions and fears. Step back and gain some perspective on your life.

Compare your options in every situation. Is how you usually react appropriate now or would you be better off choosing a different, deliberate action. You can choose to act in a different way, even while feeling the old way. Before the old reaction patterns start, ask yourself a few questions: Have these reactions got you the result you wanted? Do you feel better after reacting this way? Is your relationship better after reacting this way? Do you think your reaction will help the situation?

How well you are doing in five years depends on how you grow between then and now. Your problems won't go away by avoiding them. You already know a lot of the answers to your own questions. It's more important that you are brave, confront the issues and deal with the problems and then do what needs to be done. Even if that means going beyond your comfort zone.

Change stimulates more change. Changing what you want is ok. You have that right, but just be sure you are honest and up front when it comes to your motives. You can't change the past, but you can change the hold it has on you.

Stop complaining about the things you don't like and start talking about how to make them better.

If you expect the worst you will get it. You are the author of your own fortune or misfortune. You have a choice in everything. Avoiding the choice is still a choice and puts the power in someone else's hands.

Think outside the box. Turn the channel and you'll be amazed at the possibilities that you've never even considered. Start now. Why are you waiting.?
