SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED SEASON 3!
Poor Lady Mary!!!!!!
Not only is the poor girl, played by Michelle Dockery, responsible for continuing the family line (...her parents only having daughters....) so that Downton can be kept in the family....
....but she has one fiance killed (....on the Titantic...which as we find out may now not be the case....maybe they will bring Patrick back in season 4....that would make things interesting.... ), a sister die after giving birth and now her husband, of only one year, killed in a car accident. Will Mary never be happy? I hear that season 4 will be a lot about her.
What will Isabel Crawley, played by Penelope Wilton (Who by the way looks about 20 years younger then the character she plays.), do without Matthew? I think she should have married....
....Doctor Clarkson, played by a gorgeous looking actor named David Robb. They would have made a great couple.
Mary has become a much more likable person now that she and .....
....Edith, played by Laura Carmichael, are getting along. So unlucky in love. Let me see if I can remember them all...Patrick (who left her even though he was disfigured), the farmer she helped out, who's wife sent her on her way, Sir Anthony Strallan (who was too old) and now Michael Gregson, her editor, who she can't marry because he can't divorce his wife because she's in an asylum. Did I leave anyone out?
Edith could try her hand at being a governess. She and her spinster aunt, Lady Rosamund, played by Samantha Bond, have a lot to handle, keeping track of......
....free spirited, Cousin Rose, played by Lily James.
Dancing in a nightclub....with a married man.....SCANDEL!
It should make season 4 interested now that Rose is moving to Downton Abbey, since her parents, (the Scottish Cousins) Laird of Duneagle...
Hugh MacClare, played by Peter Egan, and Susan MacClare, the Marchioness of Flintshire, played by Phoebe Nicholls, are moving to India. Too bad for these two, divorce was not allowed then...they really needed one.
.....to be continued....part 3......The "downstairs" family......
