Monday we got a call from Lisa, our caseworker. A young girl (seventeen), (we'll call her "K") and her parents looked at our scrapbook and loved it. They wanted to meet us. We set the meeting up for Wednesday at 4:00 pm. I didn't want to say anything until I was sure and we had met her. WELL, WE HAVE MET HER AND I AM SURE! At first we were very nervous, but after chatting together and crying together, we relaxed. K's parents are very nice too. Her mother was never able to have children, so she and I connected right away. K was adopted from South American. She's Columbian and Puerto Rican.
The due date is December 18th! We have an ultrasound on Monday, which she has invited me to attend and then, hopefully, we'll learn whether it's a boy or a girl.
YAAAHOOOO! OH, MY GOD! I'M GOING TO BE A MOM IN 4 MONTHS, 1 WEEK AND 4 DAYS!!!
I can't express to all of you how I feel. I don't have the words. I am physically and emotionally drained, but VERY, VERY HAPPY! THANK YOU GOD!

Congratulations! It's a great feeling. Our baby boy was just born 5 days ago. He's in interim care right now while all the legal stuff is taken care of - but it's great being a mom.
