Words do not express how we are feeling right now. Samuel was born at 12:16 pm today. He weighs 6 lbs. 9 oz. and is 20 inches long. He is the most gorgeous boy in the world!!!
The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and he has some fluid in his lungs, so they are doing a blood test to be sure he doesn't have an infection. We have to wait 48 hours for the results. If he as an infection, he may have to stay in the NICU for a week or so. Pray for good results on Wednesday so that we can bring him home.
For those of you still waiting....God is good and His plan is perfect!
Thank you for all the warm wishes and prayers. Please continue to pray for "K" the birth mother. She did an amazing job today! She has her relinquishment hearing on Thursday. When I've had a few hours sleep and can gather my thoughts, I will write more about the entire experience.
ps...Darcie won the contest of guessing the due date!!! I'll contact you soon!
